I went ahead and imported their certificate to try and quash THAT half of the issue, but it hasn't prevented the issue as of yet. Unfortunately, a few users ARE hitting that box and being prompted for a login, and about certificate errors. As far as I can tell that should mean that the server isn't particularly visible/in use to the average user. I've not migrated any actual mailboxes to the server as of yet. I've stood that server up, assigning it the Mailbox role and ONLY the mailbox role. Working with a client to get them migrated to Exchange Online after a former consulting/migration team botched the job a couple years ago.Īs part of the process, we are looking to install and setup a new fresh/clean Exchange 2016 Hybrid server to facilitate the move.
